"In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity."

Hello. I hope you are well, on this fine day. 🙂 Today, I want to talk about ‘The Art of War’ and how to win each of your battles. First, we must define what ‘battles’ are, this could be obstacles in the ways of your goals, this could be psychological, social, financial or personal, there are many topics and definitions on what battles are, and each battle is different to everyone. This is a few helpful tips, and guides to help you deal with your battles, and not only to win but to thrive. 🙂

1. Choose your battles wisely.

Remember to choose your battles wisely, if you have the option to avoid obstacles in your goals, it may be wiser to do so. 🙂 There are always other ways of winning that doesn’t involve you losing as much resources. (Time, energy and physical resources such as money). For example, you could learn for free on youtube, rather than spending thousands on online courses that may or may not be as valuable to your goals, and objectives.

2. Know the 'battlefield'

Once you know if it is a battle worth fighting, you need to fully understand the layout of the battlefield. This metaphor of a battlefield is helpful for you to understand, as each passing day, each passing moment the environment may change. The weather, the conditions, food, and supplies for your troops, hidden areas and opportunities to suprise your enemy when they are least expecting it. The battlefield, is always changing, adapting and evolving. If you know the battlefield and your own strength than you win.

3. Plan the worst-case scenario

If you plan the worse case senario, to losing this battle, and the steps to move forward even ater defeat, you will gain a hidden victory. If you plan ahead on what the battles ahead might be you may get additional insight into your own strengths, and from your apparent ‘defeat’ places in yourself that you need to work on. Yet do not be disheartened if you suffer defeat after defeat, if you remain patient, and cultivate your skills and change your perception on those defeats, you will be ultimatley victorious.  While you must plan the worst-case senario be motivated by the best-case senario, and let that positive vision motivate you and inspire you and your metaphorical troops to war.

4. The Internal War (feed the positive not the negative)

An important fact in psychology is self-awarenss and the acknowledgement of hard truths, and in most cases the abandonment of beliefs that do not serve you, and your ideal goals. Remember, that your words and actions are the very essence of your being. Swim in positivity, but remember to always follow the current of the river, it is not easy to fight against the current. You must use the nature of your will and your internal compass to guide you. Trust in the process. 🙂 Feed on the positive dreams, goals and it will manifest.

5. Build Confidence and Self-Esteem to fight for what you believe in.

Building sufficient confidence and Self-Esteem is so important. This is the bedrock of success and happiness. If you perceive yourself to not have very good confidence and self-esteem. Firstly, you are confident and do have Self-Esteem – let me explain before you go jumping to conclusions.  It is just that you have been convinced that you don’t by your external environments justified by your past experiences.

I have a deep belief, that we all have great levels of confidence and self-esteem. You know that memory-player in the back of your mind reaffirming what you believe to be – that is what is controlling your confidence and self-esteem.
This here is an important insight, “your THOUGHTS are not the same as FACT.” Just because you say, ‘you’re stupid’, ‘you’re not good enough’ does not mean it is true. In fact, all it is is a bad radio station and all you need to do is change the frequency.  Which you can do easily! Let’s go backwards your confidence – comes from emotions, and your emotions come from thoughts.  This is a very vital insight into your own mental psychology, that I hope you find very helpful. If you have the strong confidence in yourself – you will find that naturally your boundaries will be stronger and will be more protected from status-quo thinking, following the herd and victim mentalities which make you vulnerable to the effects on other people’s opinions. I have many blog other posts on Confidence and Self-Esteem so please use the search on the blog-menu and type in ‘confidence’. To find lots of posts, resources and mini-courses to help you.

Bonus Point. Start a Self-Reflection Practise. This will help calm the war within. 🙂

To give you some suggestions that really benefited me through this obstacle. I want to recommend for you to start self-reflecting. Whether it be through…

– Journaling
– Reading Self-Help Books
– Reading Fiction Books
– Meditation
– Writing your own story.

This will allow you to get what you read in theory, into practice. I want YOU, yes I am looking at you! To have a successful and happy and prosperous life! 😊

Until the Next Blog Post! Take Care and Look after yourself!!
